Collection of statistical information
This website uses Google Analytics to collect statistical information about your visit, including:
- the city and country where your ISP is located;
- the date and time of your visit;
- the last site you visited;
- the search term you entered into Google to find the site;
- the pages you visited on the site;
- how long you spent looking at the site;
- your operating system and web browser (for example: Internet Explorer on Windows); and
- your screen resolution.
The ATA collects these statistics to improve our websites and how we communicate. We cannot identify you from this information; nor can Google.
Google analytics uses a small text file called a ‘cookie’ to track you as you browse from page to page on the website. You can block the cookie by altering your web browser’s security settings.
Subscribing to the Friday Facts
This website invites you to subscribe to the Friday Facts. You can unsubscribe from the Friday Facts at any time by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the foot of the newsletter or by sending an email to ata@atatruck.net.au.
The ATA does not sell or provide the Friday Facts subscription list to third parties under any circumstances.
Industry issues survey
The website includes a link to the ATA’s online industry issues survey. The ATA will use the results of the survey to provide information about industry issues to the Australian Government, trucking operators and other stakeholders. The ATA cannot identify you or your company from your response to the survey.
Sending information to us by email or through the contact form
You should be aware that unencrypted email messages and web site contact forms are not secure.
You should never send confidential personal information such as your credit card numbers by email or through a web site contact form.
Access to your personal information
Under the Privacy Act 1988, you are entitled to access any personal information we hold about you. You can also ask us to correct that information if it is not accurate, up-to-date and complete. You can exercise this entitlement by getting in touch with the contact officer listed below.
